July 2015

As I look at this pictures today (it is November) I am reminded of what a fantastic summer we had.  So many great outings and so many days just playing at our house and not having a care in the world.  As I am very behind in my blogging I am going to recap July in pictures. ...

One of our Deanna Rose Farm trips.  This time all the Herron cousins were able to go together.  So much fun to be together but a little short lived as the rain came in.  Pretty fun crew to be around.

We had a spur of the moment decision to take the kids to a afternoon Royals game with Doe Doe and PaPa.  It was a beautiful day for a game and the kids were very excited to be a part of the day.  They did awesome and stayed very busy with a snow cone and a bag of caramel corn for most of the game.  Briggs is learning more and more about baseball and likes to read the box scores and know how fast each pitch is thrown.

We got into fishing this summer especially after catching our fist few fish in Chanute.  I love fishing myself so I am thrilled to have a few buddies to cast a line with.  Harper is really more interested in the minnows and worms, quite a few have been tortured by her little hands.

We had a few special guests over for a summer slumber party.  We had a great time playing in the backyard with the sprinklers and enjoying a nice sunny afternoon.  We capped our night off with a nearby firework show in our jammies.  Life doesn't get much better than summer and time with our cousins.

Taking in the new sports store, Scheels in Kansas City.

We had an unusually cool day in July so Kelli and I decided it was a perfect zoo day.  The kids had a blast together and loved seeing the new orangutang exhibit.  The KC zoo is always a special place to be.
