Halloween

Halloween is becoming a big deal at our house as the kids get older.  They seem to get more excited about it and enjoy it so much more.  This year Harper chose to be a cowgirl and Briggs in normal Briggs fashion wanted to be a Nascar driver just as he was the year before.  It was great this year with Halloween being on a Saturday we were able to really enjoy the night and not have to worry about going to school the next day.  We went Trick or Treating with Hadley and Hudson and spent about and hour and a half going door to door around our neighborhood.  The kids had a blast and collected far more candy than any child should ever consume.  We ended the night handing out tons of candy and I think the kids actually had mote fun handing it out than receiving it.

I was able to volunteer to be the room mom in Briggs room for his Halloween party.  It is pretty easy to excite a group of 1st graders at Halloween.  We read a book, did a craft, and played a few games.   It was so great to get to see Briggs in his classroom with his buddies and he was so happy to have me there too.  Hope to be able to host many more classroom parties.
