After having his first four day weekend in years I think Greg is slowly starting to appreciate one of the best perks of teaching, the breaks. We had a super weekend and were really able to relax and enjoy it all. Feel like I have not put a decent post on in weeks so I will give what has been going on in the Tomlinson household in a nutshell (a very large nutshell).
Harper had her 9 month appointment on Friday and just as we assumed was diagnosed a super healthy, sweet baby girl. She is now weighing in at 20 pounds, is 85th percentile in height, and 50th percentile for BMI (even though her thighs suggest otherwise!). The doctor gave us the ok to start transitioning to real milk during the day and sticking to formula for bed and morning. We are trying to ween her off of her middle of the night bottle by diluting it until she no longer feels the need for it. Mom and Dad would love to start sleeping through the night. She is eating table food full on now and loving it, I am not real sure yet who is getting most of the food her or the highchair. She is really developing her personality and we are finding we are going to have a feisty little one on our hands. She is totally in love with Briggs and hangs on his every word, he makes her giggle till she cries. Love them together.
Briggs is really growing up before our eyes these days. He loves school and we love hearing all the hilarious stories he has to tell us at the end of the day. He has a best friend, Isaiah at school and he tells us how cool he is daily. We love his school because he is learning so much. He can now identify numbers and letters and loves to find letters that are in his name. He is such a lovey little boy who still likes to snuggle with Mom and Dad, I am hoping it stays that way forever. We are currently working on him staying in his room throughout the whole night. He was been doing much better but occasionally sneaks in for some love when he is scared. We fall more in love with him everyday if that is still possible
As for Greg and I, life is crazy busy as usual. Greg is in his 4th week of student teaching and really doing awesome. I have been so proud of the way he is juggling all his school work and never letting life as a family man slip. It has meant a lot of late nights and many tired morning for him but he is really such a trooper. I love hearing all of the teacher revaltions he is having. It is great having someone to talk shop with at the end of the day. We are all really looking forward to Spring Break and a week on the beach with the Herron clan. Only 16 days to go!
A few pictures of the weekend.......
Snuggling in "Briggs" chair watching a morning cartoon. Notice he has her hand held against his check, such a sweet little duo.
Just noticed that flowers have already bloomed in my backyard, Spring is just around the corner.
We spent all day Sunday outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Harper could live in the swing.
Our sweet cousin Mia came to play with us most of the day. I am pretty sure Briggs thinks she is right up there with a rock star. He loves and adolizes her, she is such a good friend and playmate for Briggs and what a beautiful little girl.
Lots of running and playing was done.
A little picnic nourishment to keep us going strong,
This is what 6:45 PM looks like after a full day of playing and no nap. He was exhausted.
We attended a Valentines Party on Saturday night with a few of my teacher friends. Love being social, kind of forget how much fun it can be.
Great weekend all together. Still can't believe we are at the end of Febuary and still having 60 degree days. We will take it. Sorry for the novel, maybe it will make up for the fact I will probably not post for a while.
Heyyyy ... when does the nurse who is stuck back in her office all day get invited to these teacher parties? They look fun!
