Finally had a the opportunity to go on a field trip with Briggs and his class in April. We went down to the Sea Life Aquarium and Lego Land. Since Neither Briggs or I had been there we were super excited to check it all out. Turned out to be pretty cool overall. Most of all I loved seeing Briggs interact with his classmates. For sure that I could not be a 1st grade classroom teacher!

Skip Day
We decided one day that we should all skip school and have a day off together. You just need those days occasionally. It was such a nice spring day we headed off to the Topeka Zoo. It is a great zoo because it is small, easy to get around, and you can really get up close to the animals. We had a great day and loved surprising the kids with a fun day off.
Royal Fever
We were lucky enough once again to snag tickets to opening day. A little tougher ticket to get when your team is the reigning World Series Champs. It turned out to be one of the most perfect opening days weather wise that we have ever had. With opening day being on a Sunday we were able to take Monday off and really enjoy the day. We were able to hang out with some great friends, enjoy some great food, music, and a awesome day at the K. To top it off the Royals got a win! Heres hoping for another fabulous run this year.
Easter
The kids were super excited about Easter this year and could not hardly wait to get up in the morning and start hunting for eggs. Briggs woke up at about 5:30 and was sent promptly back to bed until Harper woke up. I think the hunting for the eggs is even more exciting than actually what is in them. I am a sucker for easter candy so I have to try to get it out of the house as quickly as possible. We spent a nice quiet morning at our house having breakfast and playing before heading over to Gram and Grandad's for another Easter celebration. Crazy thing is we woke up in the morning to snow and by afternoon it was sunny and beautiful, typical Kansas spring. We had had another easter egg hunt at Gram and Grandad's and enjoyed some outside time playing.

Spring Break 2016
For SpringBreak this year we decided to stick around town since we have a few big summer trips coming up. We had some really great weather and were able to enjoy some fun around town in KC. The kids were thrilled to have a week off and it is so much fun we get to spend it all together. We went to the zoo, attended a St. Pattys Day Parade, the movies, had an ice cream stop, went downtown for some good pizza, and had a few slumber parties. Here are a few pictures of our fun week...
KC Car Show
Anyone that knows Briggs knows that cars are his love. Since he was a little boy he has been obsessed with all things cars. We went to Briggs paradise in March when we attended the KC Car Show. As we walked in he could not look at everything fast enough, it was car overload. He was able to sit in and look at all of his most favorite cars he has dreamed about, car heaven. Harper and I wore tired of cars pretty quick but the boys could have moved spent two full days there. So fun to see him in his element.
