Don't Eat the Snow
As teachers we always cross out fingers for at least 1 or 2 snow days in the year. This year however we got one and it just happened to be on Christmas Break. None the less we enjoyed every minute of it. The kids had a blast sledding, making snowballs, and just trudging through the snow. Still holding out hope we could get a snow day off!
Fan Fest
We are officially counting down the days till the Royals opening day. We attended Fan Fest to re-live the memories of a great season. The kids loved participating in all the activities and it was great to see so many people excited about the Royals. Can't wait for another fantastic season.

Happy New Years
Happy New Years. We were able to ring in the New Year with a few of our best friends and their kids. We met up at the Freeman's for a delicious grilled cheese bar, champagne toast, and wonderful company. Love spending time with our friends and so grateful to have them in our lives.
Christmas
Our kids are crazy about Christmas and have been waiting anxiously for months for it to finally be here. I am a lover of all things Christmas and seeing the joy and magic in the kids makes Christmas all that more fun.
We had Doe Doe, Papa, Gram, Grandad, and Mark over for a Christmas Eve get together for games and appetizers. It was a great relaxing night and so exciting watching the kids await the arrival of the big guy.
Christmas Morning the kids woke up way to early and ready to head immediately down stairs. We headed down to find just what we had always wanted! Briggs got two super RC cars and Harper got an American Girl doll. Both kids were thrilled with their loot and could hardly stop playing long enough to open the next present. Craig and TaTa joined us for brunch and lots of playing with our new things.
We spent the afternoon at Gram and Grandad's with one of our favorite people, Mia. The kids could hardly wait to exchange gifts and play. We had a fabulous dinner and such a relaxing evening just chatting and being together.
The Sunday after Christmas we had the whole Herron crew over for a late Christmas celebration. It was so great to see everyone and celebrate as a family. The kids were all full of energy and very excited to be together and it helped that there were a pile of presents covering the living room. We had a great day and it was so fun to see the kids enthusiasm over Christmas.
