Twinkle Toes

We have started enrolling the kids in a few activities to start to get a feel for what things they want to do.  Harper started with gymnastics this summer and just finished her first ballet course. She absolutely loved ballet, she loved having class with Hadley, loved the outfits, and loved the chance to dance and twirl endlessness.  She was quite possibly the cutest ballerina I have ever seen and she really did a great job following directions and listening to instruction.  I think knowing how graceful Greg and I both are that professional ballerina is not in her future but in the meantime it sure is sweet watching her do something she loves.

Trick or Treat

Halloween has aways been one of my favorite holidays but even more so now as the kids get older and so into the festivities.  I took the day off so that I could attend both the kids Halloween parties and spend the day with them.  Harper was thrilled to go to school dressed as Elsa (ice girl from Frozen) and even more thrilled to find about 12 other Elsa's at her school when she arrived.  All the princesses were twirling in their gown and she was so excited.  She had a sweet little party they sang all their fall songs, played some games, and had treats.  We left from her school to head to Lansing to visit Greg and attend Briggs party.  She was very proud to be dressed up at Dads school and show off.  Briggs party was great, I always love seeing him with his friends and in his classroom setting.  He took Harpers hand and introduced her to his friends and showed her around the classroom, so cute.  All the little kids had a parade to show off their costumes to the big kids and Harper jumped right in like she was a kindergartener herself.  I took two tired and sugar filled kids home for a bit of a rest before we headed out for some neighborhood trick or treat.

Hadley and Hudson came out to our house to join us for trick or treating and we and a great time.  The girls could have done it all night, they had a blast going from door to door and also had impecable manners.  I was very proud of my little ice girl.  Briggs made it around 1 block before he decided he would rather hand out candy at our house.  He loved seeing all the great costumes and deciding what candy to hand each person.  I think our attendance was a little low probably due to the cold temperature but still lots of kids.  Another successful Halloween and the kids are already plotting what they will be next year.  Happy Halloween!
