Summertime
Ahh summertime! I love summer for so many reasons but most of all it is a chance for us to unwind and take a step back from our crazy lives during the school year. The kids think they have struck it rich being able to stay home every day and just go wherever we please that day. Greg is doing summer school again this year during June so he is gone till about noon and then we have the rest of the day together. Greg and I are currently trying to figure out how we could make this summer break gig permanent! We have already had tons of play dates, been to the park many times, and spent many mornings in our jammie's being lazy. We are so excited to be home together and look forward to the rest of our summer. A few pictures of a play date with our friends Norah and Owen, Gram's birthday celebrations, and a recent trip to the zoo.
Lake Perry
We kicked summer off right with a short night away of glamping (fancy camping) at Perry lake. We rented side by side cabins with our good friends Bill and Jolene Granfors and their two little girls. I don't mind tent camping but I much prefer a little air conditioning, running water, and a hot shower. While the cabins are not anything fancy they are just perfect for our families and a night away with the kids. Bill and Jolene have a boat and our kids love being on the water. We spent a lot of time in the boat and even did a little fishing and swimming. Briggs and Harper loved driving the boat and Briggs of course loved going as fast as we could. This was our second year in a row staying in the cabins and I think we will have to make it a tradition. What a great way to get summer under way and spend some time with some great people.

Class of 2027
We were able to celebrate a big milestone recently with our big boy Briggs. We graduated from our sweet little school MCCC and will be taking the big step to kindergarten. I can hardly believe he is old enough to be heading to kindergarten or to be almost 6 years old. I know everyone always tells you how fast time flies when you have kids and I am really starting to believe it. We could not be more proud of Briggs and what a sweet, responsible, and wonderful young man he has become. I know he is more than ready for kindergarten but it is hard to see him leave the confines of his little school. MCCC has been so good to our family and we will forever be grateful for all the love and knowledge that have given Briggs. Harper will continue on there next year but I am sure it will be a little bittersweet for her not to have her big brother with her. Briggs did a fabulous job at his graduation singing and all. We love you very much Briggs and look forward to seeing you grow and mature during the next step in your life. You are an amazing little man!
