OUCH!!

Please do not call SRS on us after looking at these pictures, I promise it was all self induced by our children.  We had a tragic week in terms of pain at our house.  We started off with Briggs slipping at Gram and Grandad's house only to fall right into the rock planters around their tree.  Lets just say there was lots of blood and lots of tears.  I think we were no to far off from stitches had we hit any harder, thank god it was not too bad.  Just when we thought we were on the mend last night Harper took a fall at Kiki and Jason's house getting a goose egg on her forehead and scraping the skin off her nose.  We look like a pretty montley crew right now and should probably avoid any public appearances for awhile.  I have a feeling this will not be the end of accidents at the Tomlinson household.

1 year photos

Here is my attempt at 1 year pictures.  I really love to take pictures of the kids and I always hate shelling out a ton of money for pictures so I thought I would try my hand. Not to bad considering we had a few skinned knees which resulted in lots of tears and a little girl who sits still for about 5 seconds at a time. Can't believe she is this big already.  Enjoy!

Mother's Day

What a perfect weekend, the weather, the company, and a whole day just for mommies!  We started the weekend with a night out on the town with the Tomlinsons.  We had dinner, went to see Jersey Boys at the theatre, and then out for drinks.  What a great show and great night altogether.  We spent much of the weekend just being with the kids and playing.  Mother's day started with a breakfast picnic in the park and some trail exploring.  Greg did all the laundry, dishes, and put the kids to bed, that is what I call a great gift! During nap I did nothing but sit in the swing with a cup of coffee and read, that is so rare for me to sit still for longer than 5 minutes.  I loved it and am currently what I would call obsessed with the Hunger Games series.  If you have not yet ready them you must.  The day was great and I have to say that being a mom is my favorite of all the roles I have in life.  Little did I know 4 short years ago that life would be this crazy, unpredictable, fast paced, and absolutely perfect.  Those two little beings have changed and challenged every part of who I am and I am so thankful for having them in my life.  Thank you to all the women in my life who have shaped who I am as a mom and given me guidance as I make my way through motherhood.  Happy Mother's Day!

Congrats Mr. Tomlinson

Well after 3 years of late nights, early mornings, lots of studying, and many worries Greg has graduated.  Saturday he headed to Rockhurst to complete his final project.  We could not be more proud of the new teacher in our family.  We, as a family made the decision that Greg should go back to school and pursue his education degree knowing that it would provide so many future benefits for our family.  Along the way I think both Greg and I many times wondered if it was a crazy decision, but forged ahead.  Looking back now it has been worth every stress.  Greg, I am so thankful that you took the leap and went for something that was not exactly in your comfort zone.  What a great example for our children to follow their dreams and to know that it is never too late to change your life.  I can see the sparkle in your eye when you talk about teaching and know that you are going to be an exceptional teacher.  I am so proud of you and look forward to having another teacher in the house to commiserate with.  Congratulations Mr. Tomlinson we love you!
