Hadley's Baptism

We have been on a bit of a blogging hiatus. We had a virus attack our computer about a week ago and have been trying to get it sorted out. We actually decided to purchase a new laptop after finding out how much it would cost to repair the old one. I am so excited to have a computer that does not take a year to log on to and one that I can use without dragging around a battery cord. Hopefully this means I will be able to keep up with my blog a bit more. So much has happened in the past few weeks so I will try to post a few today and catch up

We were lucky enough to get to celebrate our niece Hadley's baptism with our family a few weeks ago. She is the sweetest little girl and I feel honored that I was asked to be her godmother. She was great through the whole baptism, not a peep even when they poured the holy water over her head. So exciting to have another little member to our ever growing family. I can not wait to watch her grow into a beautiful little lady.

We Love Snow Days

One of the greatest perks of being a teacher has to be snow days. I woke up to a text about 5 am letting me know there were would be no school today. We got about 3 inches of snow last night and it is still coming down steadily. Looks like we might be in for a few more inches today and tonight. Briggs and I got outside for awhile today to play. Briggs loved the snow but had a little trouble walking in his new snow boots. He makes a pretty cute snow bunny, It is nice to have a full day off with no where to go and nothing to do. We will cross our fingers for another snow day tomorrow!

Big Boy

Eating breakfast (Gram's special muffins) with Daddy at our new big boy stool

My ever expanding mid-section

Fort building trying to beat the winter blues!

Torturing Hazel with his new play gun from Aunt Liz and Uncle Chris. Thanks guys, she has been shot multiple times. It is a good thing she has nine lives.

Trying on our big boy underpants. About 5 minutes after picture was taken there was pee on the hardwoods. We will keep trying.

Play date with our friend "little" Sara. Dancing with their Daddies in the kitchen

Well there as been lots of growing up in our household the past few weeks. We transitioned to going to Kiki's house for daycare and it seems to be great. I hardly get a kiss and a goodbye in the morning which tells me he is feeling pretty good about staying there. They have been able to get out and about a bit this week although we are finding Briggs may be a bit shy like I was. When they get somewhere he clings pretty close and then says "I go home now". i am sure it is just a phase I just hope he is a social little boy. We got rid of our high chair and now are sitting in a booster seat and actually sits at the bar fro breakfast which is super cute. I am sure that will be the family breakfast spot as we grow. This weekend marks the end of Briggs sleeping in a crib. While I am excited for him to have a big bed it is a little bittersweet that he will no longer be my little baby. We are going to transition all the nursery things into the other room and keep Briggs in his room with a double bed. This also means the rocking chair will be going and no more rocking at bed time. I know it is time but so hard to let go of those things. Hoping for a quick transition and sleeping through the night.

I am feeling good and getting bigger by the day. While I know I am eating well and staying active I still feel like I am huge. I am at week 24 right now and it is really flying by. It is funny with the second one how easy going you get. I worried about everything with Briggs and read everything now I just assume it will all be alright. Don't know if that is good or bad but really don't have time to be any other way. We have our first few pink items in the closet and they look so foreign after all the blue and green. After we get Briggs room in order we will start with baby girls room, I can't wait!
New room photos to come.....
