I have been trying to get a post on all week and I swear life at our house has been wild, maybe that is just life with a baby. I think we are finally through the worst of the teething trauma. We are back to sleeping through the night thank god and he is eating like a horse again. We are working on eating smaller portions and not stuffing everything in front of him in his mouth, takes after his daddy! He is now taking up to 7 steps at a time (I will post a video when I get a good one). Always makes me laugh when I see him walking, seems like he should not be that big already. We are on birthday countdown now, birthday week at our house is in 2 weeks. We are trying to figure out how to manage all these birthdays all together. Greg and I both took off the 7th to celebrate Briggs's big day. Should be a special day for our sweet little boy. Have a great weekend.

New morning distraction so I can eat breakfast. He loves pulling every spice out of the pantry.

Happy Grandparents Day

We would like to thank all the wonderful grandparents in Brigg's life today, Pa Pa & Doe doe, Gram & Grandad, and Grandma Leta & Grandpa Craig. We feel so fortunate and blessed to have you all in ours and Brigg's life. Thank you for the hours you have spent watching and snuggling with him, the countless pieces of advice you have given, the time spent on the phone talking us through moments of insanity, and above all the endless love you have for Briggs and our family. It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child and you all have been our village this past year. Thank you a million times over. We love you all and could not imagine our lives without you.

Zoo

We took Briggs on his first trip to the Kansas City Zoo on Saturday morning. Typical of the Kansas City Zoo we walked forever and saw very few animals. Regardless it was a beautiful day and we got to spend the day as a family. The highlight of the trip were the chimps, Briggs got to be right up to the glass next to them. I am not sure he really knew what to think of them and truthfully he seemed more interested in the kids than the animals. We look forward to taking him next year when he gets it a little more.

Chanute Trip

Briggs made a trip to Chanute on Monday to stay with his Grandma and Grandpa Herron. He got his 4th, yes 4th haircut while he was there. I swear the child's hair grows faster than we can cut it. It is adorable as ever. Here he is in the chair pre-cut I will send some post cut pictures later. He had a great time as usual in Chanute but we were really happy to have him home last night. You forget how strange it is not having them around. I kept thinking i had forgot something as I headed off to school in the morning. Nothing beats that smiling face before work, sure makes life seem a bit simpler.

We are still in the process of getting those dang teeth in. Three on top are now visible and from how he is acting hurting like crazy. I feel horrible for him and just wish the other ones would all come through so we could get it all over at once. This too shall pass ....... I hope.

I feel like these two pictures are so typical Briggs just laying low. I love it!

Briggs at the park

Briggs is a big fan of the park these days and has become quite a dare devil. He loves the slide and swings the most.

Bobby and Lydia

For some reason we still can not figure it out Lydia has decided to call Briggs, Bobby. It is super cute but we are pretty sure Briggs now thinks his name is Bobby Tomlinson. We took Briggs/Bobby & Lydia to the park after work today and tried to get a picture of them both sitting still (ha,ha). They have really taken a liking to each other lately and it is so fun to watch them play together. I love that they will get to grow up with each other.
